The Union

SV Vettelschoß is committed to grassroots sport

With its 13 departments, ranging from traditional sports such as football and tennis to more modern trend sports such as floating motion and archery, SV Vettelschoß-Kalenborn offers a wide range of sporting activities for all ages, from gymnastics for toddlers to sports for seniors. This offering is complemented by a series of courses, which are updated several times a year and are also open to non-members. The positive reception this concept has had over the years is demonstrated not only by the high number of course participants, but also by the number of members, which has risen from 660 in 1998 to the current 966 (as of January 25), half of whom are young people. This level of acceptance is due in no small part to the fact that the club can rely on well-trained, licensed instructors, with whose help a balanced and high-quality program is offered. With the award of the "Sport for Health" quality seal, SV Vettelschoß-Kalenborn has also received recognition from the German Sports Confederation, further strengthening its excellent reputation among the higher-level sports associations and committees. This also enabled us to enter into a partnership with Vitalis, the health and rehabilitation center at Linz's Franziskus Hospital, which offers SV Vettelschoß-Kalenborn members services at reduced rates.

Volunteering

Volunteers and instructors - without them nothing works

The fact that our club is in good shape is no coincidence; it's the result of hard work. It's crucial that our volunteers contribute their individual skills to ensure everything runs smoothly. To ensure this continues in the future, we're constantly looking for new members who can supervise, organize, manage, administer, train, instruct, celebrate, write, and much more. Don't be shy; bring your own individual skills or expertise to the club! We have a wide range of tasks and look forward to working with you and receiving your support. The best part is that it's fun and enriches everyone personally. This is the only way the club has been able to develop over the course of its history, from gymnastics and softball before the war, through football in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, to become one of the most modern, best-organized, and largest-membership sports clubs in Rhineland-Palatinate.
