Body fitness for young seniors (or those over 40)


The gymnastics group 1 has existed for several decades and is one of the oldest departments of SV Vettelschoß-Kalenborn.

 

The group currently consists of about 15 women, all of whom are members of the SV.

 

The members show a high level of stamina to keep fit in old age.

For one hour, all body regions are trained, following the motto:

“Join in and stay fit” because “if you don’t use it, you lose it”!

A varied and diverse repertoire of gymnastics exercises for the back, stomach, legs, arms, and buttocks, as well as muscle building and maintenance, coordination, and endurance training, are practiced and trained using the available hand and sports equipment, such as steppers, balls, therabands, flexi-bars, and much more, all accompanied by lively music. The fitness program concludes with stretching and loosening exercises.

The group’s highlights include activities such as an annual social hiking day, a Christmas party or end-of-year celebration and, of course, the now indispensable “carnival gymnastics evening”.
